Built by Mẹ Hà, for the families who keep coming back
Our mother, Hà, grew up in Hoi An and never stopped loving it. Now that she has raised the two of us, she has gone home to welcome others to the town she loves.
For her, Hoi An was home before anything else: the river, the market at dawn, long afternoons, bike rides to the sea. It was her parents' house, her sisters and her brother, cousins in every direction, and neighbors who knew her name before she could say it.
Even after our family moved to Saigon, every summer she brought the two of us back. The same streets, the same aunties, the same long tables. We ate too much, swam too long, and learned the town the way she knew it. And every evening, when the lanterns came on over the Old Town, it felt like a small kind of magic that belonged to us.
Villa Hà Vy is her way of passing that on. A five-room homestay that Mẹ Hà and our family are still building today, brick by brick, for families like ours, and like yours, to slow down, eat well, and let Hoi An do the rest.
The Old Town is beautiful. But the real Hoi An is a slow morning, a bowl of cao lầu, and nowhere you need to be.Mẹ Hà · Hoi An
